Top Gear Series 11 Episode 4 – again a little bored

This week I had been really looking forward to Top Gear Season 11 Episode 4 because of the review on the new Nissan GTR. I was then gutted to see that they didn’t really review the car but instead did one of those repetitive “races” which they seem to do a lot, where it always ends up being so close or that nail biting finishing, cliff hanger finish – the same situation every time they have a race.

Here is a picture of the new Nissan GTR incase you missed it:

New Nissan GTR

Why won’t Top Gear go back to the old style format or relevant news, car reviews and tell us facts about the car that we do not know. Also the current “Pointless Signs” campaign is old, most them signs have been seen before in weekly mens magazines, such as Nuts and Zoo.

If you missed the episode you can watch it on the BBC’s Iplayer for a limited time only: Top Gear Series 11 Episode 4

I did however enjoy the repeat of Ewan McGregors Long Way Round which can also be found on the BBC Iplayer where you can find Episode One and Episode Two: Long Way Round Episode One and Two

Credit Crunch effects television prices.

At the beginning of June 2008, Currys announced that it was to chop £300 of the some 73 televisions at 550 UK stores in response to the slow down in consumer spending.

Tesco then cut between £50 and £250 on a range of sets available in-store and online at their website.

John Lewis joined the fray by saying it would match the price of any of its competitors, as stated in their advertisements that can be seen all over the London Tube network, still not convinced they are the cheapest LCD / Plasma supplier.

Argos said it too had slashed prices on a number of sets. Visit Argos here: TV Deals at Argos

Great Savings on Televisions 600x400

Hottest deal for consumers is an LG 42ins HD ready LCD TV at Currys which you can save 27%, previous price was £1,099.99 now just £799.95.
